Holidays on the Mediterranean in Javea (Xàbia) on the Costa Blanca
Javea (Xàbia) is a charming coastal town in northern Costa Blanca with around 31,000 residents, situated between Cape St. Antonio in the north and Cape La Nau with the Balcón al Mar residential area. The town is protected by the impressive Montgò mountain range (753 m).
The Mediterranean coast, with its beautiful white sandy beaches, small romantic coves, and rugged cliffs, stretches for 25 km, dotted with small islands. To the north of Javea (Xàbia), you'll find the botanical reserve of the Valencia region, while inland towards Moraira, vast orchards and vineyards characterize the landscape.
Javea (Xàbia) has preserved its historic core, featuring facades of tuff stone, Gothic windows, wrought-iron balconies and window grills, and bright courtyards. Fishing remains a significant local industry, with around 20 fishing boats returning daily from their night catches to the harbor, where a bustling fish market takes place.
The Aduanas del Mar harbor district and the El Arenal beach area, with its commercial center, are popular tourist spots during the summer. Javea (Xàbia) offers a wide range of amenities for visitors, including cultural and business centers, several golf courses, sports facilities, tennis courts, and a marina. The town also boasts numerous restaurants serving both national and international cuisine, as well as the region's traditional gastronomy. For a lively night out, there are plenty of nightclubs, pubs, and disco bars.
