L'Alfàs del Pí resort on the Costa Blanca

The small and modern resort of L'Alfàs del Pí is located exactly between Benidorm and Altea (8 km each). The diagram of the Sierra Helada, the beach, a lighthouse, the long promenade and diverse cultural events make L'Alfàs del Pí an international meeting place. A visit to the Castillo Conde de Alfaz with its equestrian games and depictions of medieval knight life should be remembered. The city has held an annual film festival since 1997

L’Alfàs del Pi was founded in 1786 as a fortress to ward off North African pirates (Berbers). In 1836 the community achieved its administrative independence and for 125 years L’Alfàs del Pi was a rural community that lived on agricultural terraces and clay mining in the Sierra Helada. Until the tourist boom in Benidorms in the 1970s, there were repeated waves of emigration to South America and North Africa. The catholic church Cristo del Buen Acierto, which was built in 1784 and on whose area the symbol of the city, a pine tree, grows, is worth seeing.
