Dogs Welcome in Our Holiday Homes

Most of our holiday homes and villas gladly welcome dogs and cats. Please register your pets in advance. In Spain, an additional fee usually applies.

Travel Requirements for Dogs in Spain

  • EU Pet Passport: Valid passport with up-to-date rabies vaccination. Puppies must be vaccinated at least 21 days before travel.
  • Puppies: Must be at least 3 months old for the first vaccination. Please consult your veterinarian.
  • Health Certificate: Recommended by your veterinarian.
  • Microchip: Identification via microchip required (tattoo valid only if done before July 2011).
  • Restricted Breeds: Pit Bull, Staffordshire, Rottweiler, Dogo Argentino, etc., must wear a leash and muzzle; registration with local authorities may be required.

Traveling with Dogs on Public Transport

  • Dogs must be on a leash and wear a muzzle.
  • On trains, dogs travel in a carrier in the luggage compartment.
  • Bring your own carrier to reduce stress for your pet.

Holidaying with Your Dog in Spain

  • Ideal with careful planning.
  • In rural areas, dogs can often roam freely.
